Kickstart Your Morning

Happy Saturday! This weekend I wanted to share some easy foods to kickstart your morning. I’m a big believer in health is wealth and starting it from the inside out. There’s a great amount of information out there now on eating healthy, which can be life changing for anyone with allergies, skin issues, and various levels of diseases or disorders. I myself suffer from acne prone skin and have to try really hard to keep it pimple free. Eating healthy has really changed the way my skin looks, especially while my hormones have been fluctuating with breastfeeding, and it all starts for me with my breakfast.

No matter what I try to get in a green smoothie before eating anything else. I think it has personally changed the way my skin looks. While I can’t always do this all the time, I try my best to eat some form of vegetables and fruits to kickstart my immune system for the day.

My green smoothie is really simple, especially since I have only a few minutes to make it these days! All I put in mine is 1/4 cup water (sometimes almond milk), 2 cups spinach, handful of berries, 1/2 banana, 2 tbsp flax seed and my prenatals which you can switch for multi vitamins. Just make sure they’re the capsules that you can empty in. Then just blend on high speed and you’re ready to go!

After my smoothie I like to enjoy some green tea with lemon, oatmeal with almond milk and granola, and whole grain toast with coconut oil or avocado. These are all quick things to make and each delivers a different health benefit to start your day. They’re also all great foods for skin health so if you’re suffering from acne like me try some of these!

I hope this post inspires you to jump start your morning. It’ll help give you energy for your day and hopefully combat any ailments you want to get rid of. It won’t be a quick fix, but consistently improving your diet will help a lot in the long run! 😊
